Based on a design carved into a large rune stones in Urnes these snakes have been adopted to be the symbol of Loki the god of mischief. A shape changer and trickster, neither good nor evil but cleverly sowing chaos and as flexible as a serpent wriggling out of trouble.
This Urnes Snake / Loki pendant was hand forged from quality 1018 steel and comes with approximately 32" of genuine leather cord. The pendant is one and a quarter inches by five inches and weighs in at a light and comfortable one and half ounces.
Perfect for historical reenactment, renaissance festivals, SCA events or everyday wear for those of a more viking persuasion.
No power tools, or machining, traditional hammer finished at the anvil, wire brushed and finished with canola oil while hot.
All hand forged items will have minor variances in design.

I have another Urnes snake from Chauncey, which is very delicate, but then I saw this twisted one and simply had to have it. I love snakes, so... keep 'em coming!! Thank you!
