Huginn and Muninn (thought and memory) are Odin’s two ravens. Every morning at sunrise he sends them off to fly throughout all of the nine realms to gather information on what is happening. In the evening they return to Odin in Asgard and tell him everything that they have seen and heard.
These Viking Raven penannular brooches / cloak pins are hand forged from quality 1018 steel with mirrored twists and distinctive raven head finials.
The steel was drawn out and forged to a width of 5/16" at its thickest point. Perfect for historical reenactment, renaissance festivals, SCA events, LARPs or any occasion where a cloak is worn.
No power tools, or machining, traditional hammer finished at the anvil, wire brushed and finished with canola oil while red hot.
All hand forged items will have minor variances in design.

Almost perfect. The design is exactly as described and much heavier than I expected. The only issues I had were the slight curve in the pin and the ravens were different sizes. The right is longer and much thinner than the left. I’m hopeful it’s not too thin and thus fragile. From afar it’s hard to see these things so I have decided to keep it. It really is a beautiful piece and I’m praying it lasts.

Absolutely gorgeous! I needed something larger and hefty to hold up my heavy crocheted cloak, and this is perfect! I love the raven details. Really makes it stand out and is something special.
